Our name Meja means ‘table’ in many languages. It represents a place where families gather, stories unfold, and traditions are passed from one generation to the next.

It’s the beating heart of every home.

We’re inspired by some of the richest and most storied cultures in the world, from the vibrant Malay Peninsula to the evocative and deep spirituality of Bali, and from the majestic landscape of Africa to the breathtaking colour and splendour of India.

We celebrate these rich cultural legacies. But we also add something new.

Meja fuses each design with a unique twist of French opulence, creating a series of bespoke collections that combine past, present and future. A timeless beauty that not just connects us to our world, but to each other.

Really happy with my purchase from the Saffron Range! I have a large dining table (1m x 2m) and finding a tablecloth in the right size is always a struggle — not this time. It fits perfectly with an even overhang on all four sides, which honestly makes such a difference.
The print is beautiful, and I managed to find matching runners and napkins to complete the whole look. But the fabric is what really won me over — linen with a lining, so it drapes really nicely. Solid quality, would definitely recommend.
I give 5 Stars!

THE CREATIVE VISION BEHIND MEJA

Meet the creative force behind Meja Maison de Bali, Alexandre. His artistic direction is deeply influenced by the rich heritage of France and its historic textile traditions.

After studying design at the prestigious École Duperré Paris—one of the leading institutions for applied arts—Alexandre went on to hold prominent creative roles at Dior and Lanvin, where he refined his approach to luxury design and craftsmanship.

Today, every Meja collection begins with Alexandre’s original hand-drawn artwork. These designs are then carefully transformed into exquisite textiles, wall hangings, and tableware by skilled artisans in Bali and India, blending European elegance with traditional craftsmanship.
